Kale Chips
I just made Kale chips for the first time. They were pretty amazing! I ate more than half of what I made! They are so easy to make and if you like a little crunch for an afternoon snack, kale chips are your answer. Very high in nutrients, low in calorie……what more could you ask for!
Get a bunch of kale leaves at your local grocery store. Fill up the produce bag and head home to make these delicious snacks. Once home, rinse of the kale with warm water. Preheat oven to 350. Pat dry using a salad spinner or paper towels. The drier they are, the crunchier they will be. Then fold the leaves in half at the stem and pull leaves off of the stem. Break into small bite sized pieces for chip sized bites. Spray cookie sheet with non stick spray. Place kale on sheet so that leaves are touching, but not on top of each other. Spray kale with cooking spray (I use smart balance). SPrinkle sea salt, garlic powder, and chili powder onto kale leaves. Bake for 10-12 minutes (depending on your oven) on middle rack. Pull out of oven and if brown on the edges, they are done. Enjoy your crunch!
