No carbs?? Really!?
Why do trainers tell you not to eat carbs? Seriously, this is the dumbest thing I have ever heard and you’re being set up for failure unless you really can go the rest of your life without eating any carbs! Who can really do that??!? I know I can’t and I have a pretty strong will power to stick to pretty much anything I start.
Yesterday, I was at the gym doing some cardio when I overheard a trainer telling his client she had done a great job completely cutting all of the carbs out of her diet! It took everything I had not to open my mouth and speak up on the matter. But I kept my mouth shut and quietly listened as I turned down my music so I could eavesdrop.
Cutting carbs isn’t good. Nothing good comes out of doing this. Yes, you might lose a quick 5 lbs in one week but literally the second you smell fresh baked bread or even put it to your lips, those 5 lbs reappear. Carbs were put on this earth as a huge nutritional source for humans to eat and live by on a daily basis.
If you want to try any “fad diet” try this one…..el natural! No processed foods. Just whole foods that come from animals and earth. Live like a caveman, well not literally but try not to eat anything that you wouldn’t be able to find in the wild or eat off of someones farm. So stock up on fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean meats, and healthy fats. This will help give you the nutrition you need to live a healthy lifestyle and will also help you lose any of those unwanted pounds by cutting out artificial sweeteners and other unknown additives.
So, you can either listen to me or not. When I say don’t go on any crazy diets that cut out one thing or another, I mean it. All this will do is set you up for failure!
