Smoothie’s for the whole family
Monkey Around Smoothie:
Ingredients:
½ cup skim milk
½ cup Greek plain yogurt
2 Tbsp creamy natural unsalted peanut butter
¼ ripe banana
1 Tbsp all natural honey
4-5 ice cubes
In a blender add milk, yogurt, peanut butter, banana, honey and ice cubes. Puree until smooth and pour into one serving.
Blueberry Vanilla Smoothie:
Ingredients:
1 cup skim
6 oz Greek vanilla yogurt
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 Tbsp flaxseed oil
In a blender, combine milk, yogurt and frozen blueberries. Pour drink into your glass and then mix in the flaxseed oil for one delicious serving.
Georgia Peach:
Ingredients:
1 cup skim milk
1 cup frozen unsweetened peaches
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
2 tsp organic flaxseed oil
handful of ice
Combine milk and frozen, unsweetened peaches. Mix for approx one minute and add ice as needed. Then you can pour into a glass. Mix in the flaxseed oil and serve. Makes one serving.
Tropical Vacation:
Ingredients:
3 Tbsp light Orange juice
1 cup frozen blackberries
2 cups peeled kiwi
1 cup fresh baby spinach
2 dried apricots
1/2 skim milk
1/4 cup prune juice
1/2-1 cup ice (add in slowly)
Mix all ingredients into blender except for ice. When everything is pureed, add ice until smooth. Makes 3 servings.
Mango in the Morning:
Ingredients:
¼ cup mango, diced
¼ cup mashed ripe avocado
½ cup mango juice OR pineapple juice
¼ cup Greek vanilla yogurt
1 Tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
4-6 ice cubes, add slowly
Mix mango, avocado, mango juice, yogurt, lime juice, and 2 ice cubes in blender. Puree until smooth and then add in the rest of the ice. Makes one serving.
Chocolate Delight:
½ cup skim
6 oz Greek vanilla yogurt
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (whey protein about 90 calories per scoop)
1 cup fresh raspberries or strawberries
Handful of ice
Combine the first four ingredients and mix until smooth. Add ice and once smooth again, pour into glass.
Makes one serving.
