CAROLINE’S TURKEY AND SPINACH BOLOGNESE
4 Garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp dried basil
19 oz ground turkey breast
5 servings no yolk egg noodles
2 cups fresh spinach
1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
1 jar tomato sauce
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
Sauté garlic for about 5 minutes on medium heat in skillet. Add your ground turkey breast to the skillet and continue to cook on medium until no longer pink. Add in italian seasoning, basil, and red pepper flakes. While the turkey is cooking, boil 8 cups of water and add noodles once water is boiling. After noodles are cooked (approx 8 minutes), take them off of the heat and leave in the water.
Add your copped spinach and tomatoes to your ground turkey and mix together. Lower heat to low setting. Add jar of tomato sauce and place top onto skillet for about 3 minutes. Stirring continuously. Cook for another 5 minutes with the top off.
Serves 5. Place each serving onto your plate and sprinkle with the parmesan cheese. Enjoy.
