Burpee Tuesday
Oh Tuesday! How I needed that extra hour of sleep this morning! After a Friday night slumber party with 3-6 year old boys, my 4 year old daughter, and 2 year old…..I was WORN out! I felt like I had been on a bender for the entire weekend! The 6 year olds did not drift off to sleep until 10pm and they were up at 4am ready to attack with every nerf gun in the house! Surprisingly, working out gives me the much needed energy boost to get me through the day. Today is the first day I have not felt exhausted, and let’s be real people, I am ALWAYS tired! No, that does not mean I didn’t workout over the weekend or Monday but today is the first day I have felt like documenting it on here. These little ones keep me on my toes and keep me running. So I decided to do a very mindless, but HIIT cardio workout today. It went by quickly, thanks to a good playlist and the two youngest being occupied with lots of play dough!
My usual 5 minute warm up:
1 minute jumprope, 1 minute pop squats, 1 minute pushups, 1 minute high knees, 1 minute mountain climbers.
Then on to complete my 40 minute workout:
10 Burpees ** see below for full burpees
10 pushups
10 jump squats
10 plank jacks
10 reverse lunges (each side)
10 skiers (each side)
10 weighted (or not) Russian Twists (each side)
Repeat 5 more times or until you reach 40 minutes of exercise!
