Workout for a Guilt Free Thanksgiving

The average Thanksgiving meal consists of about 3000 calories. That is 1000 more than you should be eating in a day in the first place. I am going to give you some workouts that will burn 400-700 calories so that you can enjoy every bite of your Thanksgiving, guilt free.

The Family Walk (burns about 400 calories)

Take the family out for a walk after Thanksgiving for a good hour. Not only is it good, quality family time, but you will be able to sweat and make it a fitness session to. If the kids are too big for strollers, but too small to keep up……grab their bikes and let them ride alongside you.

The much needed time away from the crazy side of your family (burns about 500 calories)

Hit the park for 30 minutes. You are going to complete this circuit training routine: (notice I say run, not jog)
Run 5 minutes
20 pushups
20 walking lunges
10 frog jumps
Run 5 minutes
20 pushups
20 walking lunges
10 frog jumps
Repeat 2 more times through

Don’t get a Turkey Butt (burns about 600 calories)
Find a local stadium or beach and run stairs or in the soft sand for 45 minutes. You will feel the burn in your butt and hamstrings as well as get in some great heart pumping, intense cardio.

Turkey Trot 10k (burns about 700 calories)
Find a local 10k race and run it with all of your heart. Shoot for your best time!
